NME contents page

The "NME" is placed in large bold letters across the top of the page . This is so that this part of information is given straight out to the reader and to tell them what they are reading on this part of the page. The use of "NME THIS WEEK" is used through out each issue of this magazine, making this their catching slogan for this section of the page, the page that would summarize the whole contents of this magazine into one page for the audience to quickly read.
Making the title as bold as it is, is so that it can grab the readers attention before they start to read anything else on the page. They have done this through the colour scheme of using white on black, and red on black, making this part stand out from any other part on the page. The idea being that the magazine wants the reader to read this before any other part.
The layout of the page is some what split into categories such as "features". Doing so means that the readers can guide themselves around the page to find exactly what they want to know. Not having this would make the page incredibly hard to follow due to the amount of information that is needed to be put on here.
On this page they make sure to put the main stories and latest news in the more larger texts as this is what the readers/audience tend to want to know more about before buying.
The main image gives an idea of what the magazine is mainly featuring in this issue of magazine, meaning that if readers pick the magazine up, they can see this image and know mainly what this magazine is featuring without even needing to read any sentences.
